The Great Outdoor Network Inc. began in 2003 in South Florida as the first business referral network for the out-of-home industry. Today the network is a one-stop shop for professionals to network and market their business. “Grow a little every day” has been our mantra for over 3 years of service to the industry. This was a new concept for the industry. Many at the executive level of the out-of-home industry are considered first and second generation professionals. As the web affected the automobile industry we sought to bring about more awareness of the mediums and the companies who retain the advertising inventory. Targeting the men and women working within the advertising agencies and media marketing firms, who are between the ages of 21- 35 which are heavy internet users and conduct most research online.

We strive to drive business to members with web exposure, newsletters, and referrals everyday. The one thing that makes us unique is our business to business based philosophy of networking. In November of 2003 the GON went online to provide a one-stop shop for media professionals to network and market their business. Each member builds a Profile (one-page website) which outlines their business including case studies, press releases, photo galleries, multiple office contacts, markets and products. Once the profile is connected into the network, we can begin to promote and advertise the member to the community.
Today there are 495 outdoor media companies represented on our network with a retention ratio of 90%. The web site receives millions of monthly impressions with an average visitor rate of 80,000 visits per month. The press department of the GON delivers newsletters every month which aid in the education of the best uses of outdoor advertising featuring the biggest brands in the country. More importantly who to contact at the media company who can duplicate the advertising campaign. This was a new concept formulated by our company to feature the outdoor media company specifically to introduce and enlighten media buyers.
